Declaration of Municipal Chief Executive (Hon. Dominic Gyasi) (Right)

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly convened a general assembly meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, to confirm Hon. Dominic Gyasi as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality. The confirmation aligns with the constitutional mandate that requires the general assembly to confirm the President's nominee for the role of Chief Executive.

During the session, the Assembly also held elections to appoint a new Presiding Member. Hon. Evans Ackaah was elected to the that position, securing more than two - thirds of the votes cast, just like Hon. Dominic Gyasi, who also received a resounding endorsement.

The confirmation and swearing-in ceremony saw the presence of several notable dignitaries including the Western North Regional Minister, the Chief Director, the Regional Vice Chairman of the NDC, as well as the Constituency Chairman of the NDC and his executives.

The District Magistrate officiated the swearing-in of both the MCE and the newly elected Presiding Member.

In his inaugural address, Hon. Dominic Gyasi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Assembly Members and all stakeholders for their unwavering support. He pledged to work diligently to uplift the image and development of the Municipality.
