The Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the Sefwi Asawinso Zonal Council initiated a comprehensive clean-up exercise on Saturday, June 22, 2024, to enhance community hygiene and prevent disease outbreaks.
Led by Environmental Health Officer at the Zonal Council, Boakye Boapong Sadat and the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Francis Kwasi Osorede, the exercise focused on desilting choked drains to ensure the free flow of runoff water and cleaning key areas such as the lorry station and market center. The initiative aimed to mitigate the risk of faeco-oral and communicable diseases by maintaining a clean environment.
