On Saturday 28th January, 2023, a team lead by the Municipal Coordinating Director for Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly embarked on a decongestion exercise at the Sefwi Dwinase Pragyia Station. Among the team were the District Crime Officer, MTTD Commander, Zoom lion Coordinator, Officers from the Municipal Assembly, Laborers and City Guards.
The exercise was to create an enabling environment for the activities of Pragyia users. It was also to help the Assembly erect pillars for temporal fencing that would prevent future congestion and to help in generating revenue for the Assembly through the collection of tolls from riders.
Necessary arrangements were made prior to the day of the exercise. Among the preparations were; public announcement prompting those who had their structures within the affected area to relocate.
The Municipal Fire Service Office was also contacted to deploy men to take care of expectancies during the exercise.
