SWMA HOLDS MONITORING AND EVALUATION CONSULTATIVE MEETING WITH STAKEHOLDERS


In accordance with the Environmental and Social Safeguard guidelines of the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme which requires beneficiary Municipal Assemblies to ensure effective stakeholders’ participation in the implementation of the programme. The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly held an M&E stakeholders consultative meeting at the Sefwi Dwinase Market on Wednesday, 28th September,2022.


The programme was executed in four main parts. The first part was an inspection of work done for ongoing UDG II projects, followed by a brief introduction by stakeholders and some key staff of the Municipal Assembly. The third part was followed by the purpose of the meeting and detailed deliberation on the implementation of the development projects under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP) in the Municipality and the fourth part was devoted to questions and contributions from the stakeholders and the responses from appropriate officers of the Assembly.


The invited stakeholders, contractors and the project implementation team from the Assembly inspected the on - going UDG 2 projects (Construction of 120 units market stalls and Earthworks at Dwinase market and Transport Terminal- Lot 1 and Construction f 20 – unit lockable stores and 40 Unit Market stalls at Dwinase market and Transport Terminal – Lot 2). The temporary market shed for project affected persons (PAPs) was also inspected to ascertain the progress of work done.
